Jobs Increase Across Colorado

Recently, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released both national and state unemployment and jobs data from February. According to the national employment situation report, the national unemployment rate was at 3.6 percent, a 0.2 percent increase from January.

Colorado’s unemployment rate remained relatively unchanged, increasing from 2.8 percent in January to 2.9 percent in February. Despite this, based on preliminary data, the state has added about 10,695 new nonfarm jobs between January to February with some of the largest increases coming from the business, trade, hospitality, and government sectors.
