Denver-Aurora-Lakewood Area Unemployment Rises Slightly in December

As released in the Bureau of Labor Statistics report last month, Colorado’s unemployment rate, seasonally adjusted, dropped slightly from 3.5 percent in November to 3.3 percent in December. Not seasonally adjusted, the unemployment rate fell from 3.3 percent in November to 2.8 percent in December. 

Locally, according to a newly released Bureau of Labor Statistics report released on February 1, the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood metropolitan area unemployment rate (not seasonally adjusted) dropped slightly from 3.3 percent in November to 2.8 percent in December. 

Nearly three years after the COVID-19 pandemic drastically impacted local communities across the nation, Colorado continues to show resilience and make great progress towards recovering economic losses.
